Ayurveda 101

Ayurveda is NOT a new wave trend, fad or hippy diet. It is a NOT a one size fits all diet plan.
In fact, it is not just about what we eat at all; that is only half of it!

Ayurveda is about understanding our own very unique self so we can make the best diet and lifestyle choices to keep us physically, mentally and emotionally healthy, vibrant and happy.

Achieving and maintaining good health isn't just about eating right or exercising.  It's knowing yourself so well, you know what you need in the moment so you can maintain balance.  It's a combination of doing the right things at the right time; eating seasonally, building up and rejuvenating, detoxing and nourishing.  Ayurveda arms us with the tools to recognize the signs and symptoms of when we begin to go out of balance and what we need to do to adapt to stay in balance.

The basic principle of Ayurveda is to prevent and treat illness by maintaining balance in the body, mind, and consciousness through proper drinking, diet, and lifestyle, as well as herbal remedies.

This 2-hour workshop will go over the principles of Ayurveda and how you can begin to use these immediately to bring balance and health into your life.
A Light lunch will be provided as well as complementary water, coffee & tea.
