Yoga for Runners & Athletes

Feeling tight in your hips, thighs and legs? Wanting flexibility and relief? We have an expert on-hand to help you find it... and some zen while you're at it!

This workshop is designed specially for runners and athletes, but available to all, to help you become stronger in mind and body, and ready to push through and meet challenges. We will work to build strength, flexibility and balance, while releasing tension and tightness in the quads, hamstrings, glutes and hip flexors. We will also focus on increasing core strength to support the back, and help prevent injuries. You will learn stretches and techniques to bring home with you to find relief even on days you can't make it to your mat for a yoga practice.

The class will begin with a vinyasa-style flow to warm the muscles, along with balancing poses that target the feet, ankles and knees. We will move into deeper stretches to create more openness in those commonly stressed areas. Breath work will be encouraged throughout the practice to improve oxygen flow and increase focus and relaxation. We will close out class with a calming meditation to leave you feeling refreshed, restored & recharged.
